Children’s Book Week Giveaway!

Children's Book Week Giveaway

Today is the first day of Children’s Book Week and to celebrate I’ll be hosting Everyday Allie Rae’s first giveaway!

While I don’t read much as an adult, I loved reading as a child. I find that now if I read my Bible each day that’s just about all the reading I’m able to fit in. However, we read LOTS of children’s books every single day! Thankfully, both of our kids love to snuggle up and read and we love it too!

This week I’ll be giving away four of our family’s favorite books to one lucky winner: Little Blue Truck, Go, Dog. Go!, Dear Zoo and The One Year Bible Devotions for Preschoolers. If you would like to enter but don’t have small children, feel free to enter and you can donate them to your local library or preschool.

We have lots of favorite books, but these are the ones that we’ve read so much that we can recite them from memory. Of course, we haven’t memorized the devotional book, but we try to read it each night with Luke. It includes a short devotional, a Bible verse (usually a condensed verse) and a short prayer. It’s really a great way to end each day!

To enter the giveaway, leave a comment with your favorite children’s book. I’ll be choosing the winner at random on Monday, May 11th. The giveaway will end on Saturday, May 9th at midnight EDT.

Good Luck and Happy Reading!

Thankyou for such a great giveaway opportunity! We love to read in our house too- I try to incorporate books from my childhood in Australia so our little girl still can identify with her heritage. Snugglepot and Cuddlepie by May Gibbs is a beautiful collection that has elaborate illustrations and wonderful storylines.

  2. Rebekah Gallegos says:

These are wonderful books! I’m about to graduate college with my bachelors in education, and the book Little Blue Truck would be a wonderful addition to my classroom library. Thank you for your posts! I enjoy seeing them everyday. Your family is beautiful and we will miss Jake in Denver!

  3. Heather Patterson says:

I read to my son (now finishing up his Junior year at Morehead State) every night up until he was in 5th grade. I sure miss those times. As he got older, we read a lot of chapter books, but when he was a preschooler, he enjoyed If You Give a Mouse a Cookie and Harold and the Purple Crayon.

  8. Michelle Morris says:

Our favorite book is “I love you so much”

  9. Megan Simpson says:

Love you forever was my favorite book as a child and my husband’s as well. We plan on reading this to our son once he gets big enough to enjoy books. My husband read it to him while I was pregnant and he would just kick so much. This book is so special to us. Thank you for the opportunity for the giveaway. I admire you and your family so much! God Bless!

  16. BrandiS says:

My all time favorite is “The Giving Tree”. Love the message of the book. My three year old son’s favorite book is “good night good night construction site”. Super cute book

  17. Dana Stigall says:

    We love Bark George!

  18. Okay, I’m not entering into the give away (what a great idea Allison!) but wanted to share my favorite children’s book. Max Lucado’s “You are Special”. The wood carver represents God and the wimmicks are us humans. It talks about how the wimmicks put stickers (judgements/labels) on others all day long. When the wimmicks go to see the wood carver/God each day, the stickers fall off, they don’t matter any more.
